Kampala International University draws its academic inspiration from the existentialist or phenomenological and the pragmatist philosophy of education. The two conceptual frameworks focus on individual existence and the uniqueness of the individual leaner and view the purpose of education as fostering practical skills that will enable the learner to survive in a constantly changing world. The University is driven by this philosophy to ensure that the educational programmes it offers benefit the clientele through provision of pragmatic courses of study and emphasize the uniqueness of each individual learner.
