TAMSA ORGANIZES HEPATITIS B VACCINATION FOR KIUT STUDENTS, STAFF

The Tanzania Medical Students’ Association (TAMSA) through the Directorate of Students Affairs, Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT) hereby notifies all KIUT students and staff that the first dose of Hepatitis B Vaccination (HBV) will be given to interested students and staff members who have been shortlisted for the vaccination on Saturday, 6th and Sunday, 7th January, 2018 from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm respectively, in room H2 and H3 of the Health Science Block.

This vaccination call comes as a preventive measure for KIUT students and staff, owing to the death of some students because of Hepatitis recently. The vaccine which is to be in 3 doses (January, February and August, 2018), is to be given to 598 students and 3 staff members from the list as shortlisted. Consequently, 300 students will be vaccinated on Saturday and 301 others are to be vaccinated on Sunday respectively, meanwhile 2 other students will be doing the lab test only. All shortlisted students are hereby advised to come along with their identification (ID) cards for easy access.
